2025

A new year, some minor changes 'under the hood' but No.12 continues to excel. We hope that the tweeks in the apartment will make your enjoyment even more complete, although the general comments that we receive on the booking system suggest we are doing OK.
New single beds for the twin room. A new storage box for the cushions etc on the balcony, and a new table and chairs for the balcony - the previous one looked great but was powder coated steel which didn't work. Sea air got to the welds and made it unsightly. The new 2025 set is cast aluminium (from LazySusan) so can't rust

We had BT Openreach engineers out for 3 days repairing the broadband line, very helpful and they worked hard. It is more stable but like all of the apartments at BIC we are on the end of a copper wire at end of the line. Our distribution green box is by the church about a mile away. Openreach keep postponing our upgrade to fibre. We have also fitted a new modem and router, so that at least when fibre is available we can swap quickly and easily.
The really exciting news is that the club is being re-invented as The Deck at the Causeway. A new team, new menus and its own Facebook page/website. We wish them all the best for the year ahead. They come with a brilliant pedigree.
The year started with excellent fireworks displays, first from the Burgh Island Hotel then our Burgh Island Causeway Apartments display from the beach.
