The gorgeous sandy beach at Bigbury on Sea is second to none. The views are spectacular and the fascinating tide pattern which comes in from both sides to cut off Burgh Island is mesmerising.
Excellent food is available, in the Club for residents, at the Pilchard Inn and its cafe, and in the summer the Beach Barista visits with great coffee, the Oyster Shack sometimes provide seafood on the beach. The very well regarded Venus Cafe, only a few minutes away (check out their web cams) was rebuilt in 2020 and created a larger cafe/restaurant and is also open for takeaway .
